In the aftermath of a limited couple of years for Beer Festivals, this year we are spoiled for choice! We’ve done the hard work for you and put together a list of our Top 5 UK Craft Beer Festivals for Summer 2022.

Summer 2022 may seem a lifetime away as we hug our pets whilst doing star jumps to keep warm this winter! But we can dream of hotter days and that first sip of beautiful beer under a beating sun.

In chronological order, let’s get into it.

Hop City 2022

(2nd - 4th June 2022)

Hop City 2022 - Craft Beer Festival

Hosted by the fantastic brewers Northern Monk at their Old Flax Store Refectory site in Leeds, this iconic event is back for 2022.

The brewery invites 35-45 breweries from all over the EU, US and of course the UK. 2021 saw a host of US brewers including - Other Half, Aslin, Tripping Animals and Vitamin Sea. A lot of big UK hitters such as - Track, Verdant, Pomona Island and Neon Raptor. Not forgetting an impressive EU lineup featuring Warpigs and To Øl.

Combined, these breweries bring around 200 beers for you to try! You get a glass on entry to fill to your heart's desire. Plus, no Beer Festival would be complete without some sensational street food for your guaranteed good time.

Last year Northern Monk brewed up an absolute killer of a IPA - ‘Hop City 2021 - The Resurrection’, an instant classic and favourite around Craftline HQ.

We are stoked for the Hop City 2022 brew.

Riverside Beer Festival 2022

(2nd to 4th June 2022)

Riverside Beer Festival

The Riverside Beer Festival returns this summer at Morden Wharf in Greenwich, London, over the June bank holiday weekend. The festival is hosted by another Craftline Beers favourite - Brew By Numbers.

Boasting a whopping 47 different craft breweries from around the world last year, the festival has been moved from September (2021) to June (2022). BBNo have also added an extra day.

The festival website advises ‘more details to be announced’ - but if it is anything like last year, expect a glass on entry and unlimited pours from the breweries. Plus a host of musical performances and the best London food vendors.

Brew By Numbers say they want to focus on the lesser known breweries, pulling together a lineup including breweries that have never poured in the UK. If you want to explore new breweries and beers - this event is for you!

These Hills Beer Festival

(24th & 25th June 2022)

These Hills Beer Festival - Craft Beer Festival

Hosted by a Craftline favourite - Beak Brewery, the inaugural ‘These Hills Beer Festival’ kicks off in June. Beak had a wonderful 2021 and so we expect this festival to sell out fast.

These Hills is an intimate, carefully curated two day beer festival taking place in the South Downs National Park on the 24th & 25th June.

During the event, you'll have access to limited edition world class beer from a dreamy line-up of Beak’s favourite international and UK breweries.

These Hills is taking place in a beautiful rural location a short walk from Lewes train station.

  • Saturday 25th (11.30am – 4.30pm) (SOLD OUT)
  • Saturday 25th (6 – 11pm)

London Craft Beer Festival 2022

(12th & 13th August 2022)

London Craft Beer Festival

The London Craft Beer Festival is held at London’s Tobacco Docks. This magnicient old grade I listed warehouse is located in the East London district of Wapping. Around 50 breweries attend the event each year, so there is enough choice for everyone. Last Summer, the whole Craftline gang were in attendance; it was the best way to blow away those lockdown cobwebs.

Craft Beer fans, pay an entrance fee (around £50) and then get unlimited Beer for the whole 5 hour session! You even get a glass to put that beer in, which you can keep. Also, the festival also has loads of great food (inc. Vegan), a host of talks and even a DJ at certain times. Last year they had the legend that is - Craig Charles.

We couldn’t recommend this festival more! Craftline Beers will be there so say hi if you see us.

Late Little Summer Beer Bash

(23rd July 2022)

Late Summer Beer Bash 2022 - Craft Beer Festival

The Late Summer Beer Bash is now The Little Summer Beer Bash. Held in the beautiful coastal town of Penryn, Cornwall near Falmouth. The event hosted by Verdant was cancelled in 2021, much to the misery of everyone at Craftline. The gang are now over this crushing disappointment and grateful for the full refund on the Airbnb.

With the 2022 event not yet announced, this one is still a - will it / won’t it happen affair. Due to the hype around the event and it being the end of summer, it had to fill our final spot on this list.

What better way could there be than to end the summer at a Beer Festival hosted by one of the UK’s most exciting breweries! Fingers crossed.

Verdant have now confirmed that the event will be held on 23rd July and renamed The Little Summer Beer Bash - now that it isn't going to be held at the end of Summer!

Verdant Brewing Co continue to blow us away with their exceptional beer releases and we are certain this festival will be just as impressive.

Who can we expect at the 2022 event? So far 26 UK breweries have been announced as well as 8 international breweries. Among those on board include - Beak, DEYA, Wylam, Pōhjala (Estonia), Northern Monk and Burning Sky.
